Recent developments in the escalating conflict in the northern parts of the Democratic Republic of Congo has seen Goma and Bukavu being captured by the armed group March 23 Movement (M23). While Ituri province has not fallen, the fighting has come dangerously close.
As the conflict around Ituri Province, where Not Forgotten Global Missions Association is based, is escalating, it’s impossible to overstate just how great the need is. The children in our care are in a precarious situation.
Malnutrition. Instability. It’s the children and women who are feeling it the most. Living in a vulnerable situation where their lives are at risk.
But we have hope 🙏🏿
Our team on the ground has been out, distributing food and clothing, checking in on those we’re supporting who are living in emergency shelters. Your help is needed so our team on the ground can expand their outreach, providing food and basic necessities.
We also need your prayers.
The current situation is escalating, even as international governments impose sanctions to help calm the situation. Let’s continue to pray for the safety and security of the people and this country amidst growing concerns about a potential widespread crisis.
Your gift could help by supporting our crisis relief efforts, covering the cost of meeting these urgent needs so women and children can get the aid they need.
A gift of $10 today would help put food on the table.
A gift of $100 would help to provide food and clothing.
A gift of $700 would ensure there is food, clothing and shelter for the children at our home in Ituri Province.
