This month marks four years since we officially registered Not Forgotten Global Missions Association as a nonprofit organization here in British Columbia. God is faithful!
It seems like just yesterday we began quietly sending money back to the Democratic Republic of Congo. So many of you, including Pastor John Kaptein and the congregation at The King’s Way Church in Vancouver, have been with Not Forgotten since those early days.

Back then, many of the children we began supporting were in a hopeless situation. Many of them had lost one of their parents. Some of them had lost both parents, leaving them in the care of aging grandparents. They didn’t have food or stable housing, and the instability in the region meant they didn’t have much hope for the next day.
But God.
We’re grateful to God for all of you who heard about this mission and gave from your hearts. Four years later…
The children have a place to call home.
We have enough money every month for food and shelter.
There is a dedicated team caring for them.
The children continue to attend school, where they can learn and grow.
A second home in neighboring Uganda houses our younger children, where they’re safe from the conflict in the DRC.
This is what hope looks like.

And hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
Romans 5:5 NET
We cling to this hope even in the face of a relentless conflict.
The situation in Ituri Province remains tenuous, as neighbouring regions have been captured by rebel fighters and instability persists. Aid groups working in the northern part of DRC continue to express concern over the ongoing conflict. More than 100,000 people have been displaced since the beginning of this year. Our youngest children (those pictured above) are being housed in Uganda, which is safer.
Your prayers and unwavering support for the children and young women in our care mean the world to us. May God continue to bless you as you bless their lives.
